Mothers and Others is a new initiative in the club to encourage those who have never played the game of hockey before or haven’t picked up the stick in many years. The idea came from the LGFA initiative “Mothers and Others” which has been a huge success in that sport.

A 6 week session was organised beginning in January with Sharon Hutchinson and Jane Kingston taking the session. It has been a massive success with on average of 13-15 players arriving each week to give it a lash. A session comprises of a warm-up, some skills and finishing off with a game.

We meet on Wednesdays from 8-9pm at Cork Harlequins. It costs 50 euro for the 6 weeks. We begin our second 6 week session after the midterm, starting 26th February 2020.
